US doesn’t want conflict with Iran, says Joe Biden

United States President Joe Biden has said that he did not want a conflict with Iran.

According to media reports, air strikes were carried out in Syria on the orders of the US President, in which pro-Iran fighters were killed.

The United States responded to the death of an American citizen in a drone attack, media reports stated.

“To make no mistake, the United States does not seek conflict with Iran, But be prepared for us to act forcefully to protect our people. That’s exactly what happened last night,” Biden said during a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa.

“We’re going to continue to keep up our efforts to counterterrorist threats in the region in partnerships with Canada and other members of the coalition to defeat ISIS,” the president added.

He also wished those injured, who reportedly included five U.S. service members, speedy recovery as well as condolences to the family of the American contractor who died.
