US house approves $95 billion aid package, Kremlin warns of consequences

The recent approval of a $95 billion aid package by the US House of Representatives has sparked contrasting reactions from Ukrainian and Western leaders, who welcomed the move, and the Kremlin, which issued a stark warning about potential repercussions.

The aid package includes significant support for Ukraine, Israel, and other US allies, highlighting the strategic importance placed on international partnerships amidst ongoing global tensions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the swift decision by US lawmakers, emphasizing the critical role of US funding in Ukraine’s ongoing conflict. Zelenskyy had previously cautioned that without such support, Ukraine’s ability to sustain its defense efforts would be severely compromised.

Meanwhile, in Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov labeled the approval of aid to Ukraine as “expected and predictable.” However, he issued a dire warning, stating that the decision would ultimately benefit the United States while causing further harm to Ukraine and potentially leading to more casualties among Ukrainians.
