Well-known Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has voiced her stance on prejudices in the Hindi film industry.
In an interview with the Indian Express, Vidya Balan expressed that prejudices and nepotism hold little significance. She emphasized that despite these challenges, a talented artist will inevitably find opportunities in the industry.
Balan remarked, “Nepotism or not, I am here. No one’s lineage owns this industry. Otherwise, every offspring of every industry insider would be successful.” She further elaborated that she ventured into the film industry independently, without any mentor, yet she is content with her accomplishments.
Reflecting on her journey, Balan admitted, “There were moments when I thought having certain connections would alleviate my struggles. However, I believe I have received my due share of opportunities, and no one can deprive me of what I rightfully deserve.”
