Virat Kohli hosts IPL teammates at Anushka’s birthday dinner

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma recently hosted a birthday dinner for Anushka, with Australian cricketers Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, who are currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as guests.

According to local media reports, the couple organized the dinner at Lupa, one of Bengaluru’s renowned restaurants.

Kohli later praised Chef Manu Chandra in his Instagram story, describing the dining experience as “one of the best” they’ve had.

Sharing a picture from the dinner on his Instagram stories, du Plessis captioned it with “Great night spent with good people,” depicting the cheerful mood of the Indian celebrity couple and their friends.

This marked Anushka’s first public appearance since the birth of their son, Akaay.

Earlier, Kohli had penned a heartfelt birthday message for Anushka on his Instagram, melting the hearts of fans worldwide.

The couple is known for their excellence in their respective fields and their enduring bond, often expressing affection and appreciation for each other.

Currently representing RCB in IPL 2024, Kohli is set to return to action on May 4 in a match against Gujarat Titans.

Despite a slow start to the season, RCB has bounced back with two successive wins in their last two encounters, although their chances of reaching the playoffs remain slim.

It’s noteworthy that despite boasting legendary figures like Chris Gayle, Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Jacques Kallis, and others, RCB has never clinched the IPL title, despite making it to the final three times in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
