Waseem Badami remembers Junaid Jamshed on his 7th death anniversary

    Today marks the 7th death anniversary of the legendary Junaid Jamshed who dedicated his life to religious preaching. Renowned journalist and TV host Waseem Badami, known to have a close intimate connection with the late Junaid Jamshed, took a moment, to pay tribute to him on Twitter.

    Waseem Badami reposted an old tweet from Junaid Jamshed on September 3, 2015. Badami captioned it with “Memories” and a broken heart emoticon.

    Late Junaid Jamshed and Waseem Badami used to co-host a live Ramzan Transmission every year during the month of Ramazan.

    Badami had previously expressed his grief on the death of his co-host, “You won’t believe what I am going to say next, Junaid Jamshed in this same transmission said to me so many times that now you have to lead this transmission, you have learned enough to carry out this. I have this message saved in a voice note as well.”

    “I used to say to him that don’t say this please and I replied, “Please don’t do this drama in front of me, we started this together and we will work together’,” he shared.

    Junaid Jamshed, initially a singer, left the music industry in 2004 when he was at the peak of his singing career. He left to reconnect with the spiritual and religious aspects of his life. He then emerged as a prominent religious scholar.

    Junaid Jamshed was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2010 by the government of Pakistan.

    Junaid Jamshed left the world in 2016 when he got into a sudden airplane accident leaving his fans and close friends with his legacy of being a kind, considerate, and spiritual personality. Junaid Jamshed’s tragic loss can never be replaced.
