Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while talking to the media in Turkiye has said that Pakistan stands with Turkiye in this difficult time.
While talking to the media at Adyaman University he said that he had seen massive destruction in Turkiye with his own eyes.
The PM said, “I want to convey that after my discussion with President Erdogan yesterday, we (Pakistan) have changed our strategy. Previously we were sending winterized tents, blankets, and foodstuff but now we will only focus on winterized tents.”
Minister Shehbaz further announced that he would arrive in Pakistan tonight and meet with every prospective local tent producer there.
“I will meet with them and devise a detailed plan for the prompt production of premium, fire-resistant tents.”
The tents will subsequently be transported to Turkiye by air, land, and sea, he stated.
“I have given this very significant initiative to my head of the National Disaster Management Agency, who is seated here,” the PM said.
PM Shehbaz also pledged that Turkiye would receive the tents as soon as possible.
“We speak different languages but we understand each other very well. This is the feeling and sincerity of purpose on both sides,” the PM said.
