White House expresses sorrow on Peshawar attack

The White House has expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives in a suicide blast inside a mosque in Peshawar.

Adrian Watson, a spokeswoman for the White House National Security Council, described the attack on worshippers as an unforgivable act.

He further said, “Sad and heartbreaking news come out from Peshawar, expressing condolences to the families of the loss of precious human lives.”

A White House spokeswoman said that terrorism is indefensible, and targeting worshippers is irresponsible.

“The United States stands ready to support Pakistan’s recovery and reconstruction efforts,” Spokesperson said.

Earlier, At least 100 people were killed and more than 140 others injured in a suicide blast at a mosque inside police lines in Peshawar.
