Former actress and model Zainab Jamil, known for her role in the popular drama “Khuda Aur Muhabbat,” has made startling allegations, claiming her husband masterminded a recent failed assassination attempt on her life.
The incident occurred when the “Aap ki Kaneez” actress was attacked by two masked individuals while heading to her salon in Lahore’s DHA Phase IV. Jamil sustained severe injuries from the gun attack and, from her hospital bed, revealed that the assault was orchestrated by her husband, citing months of ongoing threats.
In a video posted on her Instagram, Jamil expressed her frustration with the police investigation, highlighting the immediate threat to her life. Despite having significant evidence, she criticized the authorities’ lack of response and appealed to the Inspector General of Punjab for a fair and thorough investigation.

Zainab Jamil also posted the threatening messages she received on her Whatsapp and also exposed the number of the predator.

The actress also re-shared a picture of the alleged predator on her Instagram story.
Following the attack, Jamil’s uncle filed a complaint with the police, resulting in a case being opened against two unidentified attackers. Police reported recovering a pistol and a motorcycle from the scene and stated that they were pursuing the suspects with the help of Safe City cameras.
Before this incident, Jamil had received death threats and a threatening letter aimed at her beauty salon, indicating a premeditated attack. Despite being critically injured with six gunshot wounds, Jamil remains determined to seek justice and ensure her safety.
Zainab Jamil, famous for her roles in dramas such as “Sada Sukhi Raho,” “Sasural Meri Behen Ka,” and “Mannchali,” had announced a hiatus from the entertainment industry in December 2020 to live according to Islamic teachings.
