Additionally, Yuvraj believes that Australia and England will also secure spots in the semi-final stage.

Yuvraj, who clinched victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, will be actively involved in promotional events leading up to and during the tournament, including the highly anticipated clash between Pakistan and India in New York on June 9.

Reflecting on his own historic achievements, Yuvraj expressed excitement about being part of this edition of the tournament, which promises to be the most significant yet.

“The T20 World Cup holds some of my fondest cricketing memories, including the iconic moment of hitting six sixes in an over, so it’s incredibly thrilling to be involved in this edition,” Yuvraj stated, as quoted by the ICC.

“The atmosphere in the West Indies for cricket matches is unparalleled, with fans creating a unique vibe, and I’m equally excited about cricket’s expansion in the US, and I’m honored to contribute to that growth through the T20 World Cup.”

Yuvraj emphasized the significance of the India-Pakistan clash in New York, highlighting it as one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year, and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to witness the world’s best players compete in a new stadium.

It’s important to note that the 20 qualifying teams will be divided into four groups of five, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the Super 8 round.

From there, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, culminating in the final match on June 29th.
