Writer Abdul Khaliq Khan reveals plans for two more Seasons of ‘Ishq Murshid’

As viewers bid farewell to the enthralling love story of Shahmeer and Shibra in the latest episode of “Ishq Murshid,” writer Abdul Khaliq Khan has revealed plans to extend the series for two additional seasons.

During a recent interview on Sal Ahmed’s YouTube channel, Khan shared his vision for the show’s future.

“I have three narratives in mind for this series,” he disclosed. “The first one, which you’ve already seen, revolves around a boy overcoming obstacles for his true love.

The next will explore the challenges faced by a boy for a close blood relation.

And the final story will delve into a love that surpasses all else – a journey where love for Allah transcends everything.”

Discussing his creative process, Khan emphasized the importance of deeply understanding his characters to authentically depict their journeys.

Characters like Shahmeer/Fazal and Shibra, portrayed by Bilal Abbas and Durefishan Saleem, have captured Khan’s imagination, serving as the heart of the show.

“They are the soul of the series,” Khan affirmed, expressing gratitude for the audience’s reception of his storytelling.

“I am thrilled that fans have embraced the narrative thus far.”

While the season 1 finale premiered in cinemas with stars Abbas and Saleem in attendance, some fans voiced disappointment over its content.

The episode, later broadcast on television, mainly served as a recap, leaving many unsatisfied.

However, with Khan’s assurance of two more seasons, fans eagerly await the return of “Ishq Murshid” to their screens, eager to embark on new chapters of the beloved series.
