Resolution condemning ‘foreign interference’ submitted in Sindh Assembly

PTI MPAs hang effigy symbolising ‘traitors’ involved in ‘toppling’ federal govt

Parliamentarians belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Sindh submitted a resolution condemning foreign interference in internal issues of Pakistan in the Sindh Assembly secretariat on Wednesday.

Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh, PTI parliamentary leader in the assembly Khurram Sher Zaman, PTI Karachi chief Bilal Abdul Gaffar and others submitted the resolution. They also staged a unique protest in the Sindh Assembly by hanging an effigy of ‘friends of USA’ on the main entrance of the assembly building.

The resolution termed the efforts of the opposition parties aimed at overthrowing the government, with foreign intervention as a serious violation of democratic norms and a sensitive issue against the integrity of the country. The PTI parliamentarians demanded that the august house take action against the members who are part of the foreign guided conspiracy.

PTI legislators, speaking to the media, said that the nation will not forgive the enemies of the homeland who were exposed before the nation.

Haleem said, “We are not against the US or any other country, but conspiracies by foreign powers against the homeland are unacceptable to us; the Pakistani nation will not remain silent against such conspiracies.”

He alleged that the leadership of three major opposition parties were acting against the national interests and said that those three have gathered under the flag of the US and accepted the White House as their centre of guidance. “Today we have symbolically hanged effigy of the traitors of the homeland,” he added. “Today, the proud nation has got a brave leader Imran Khan who says our Kaaba is one and we bow our heads only before Almighty Allah,” Haleem said.

PTI’s war against traitors is wan its final stages and truth will prevail, he maintained. Haleem said, “The ugly faces of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) have been exposed; they will not get a single seat from Karachi or Hyderabad in the upcoming elections.” For his part, Khurram Sher Zaman said that PM Imran had exposed all traitors of Pakistan, and the entire nation stands united against those who acted on foreign directives and bargained for their conscience and national interests.
