Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPs have filed a petition in Supreme Court for the registration of an FIR against three suspects of a gun attack on PTI Chairman Imran in Wazirabad during a long march.

The three suspects of the attack had been nominated by Imran Khan himself that includes PM Shehbaz, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and a senior military officer.

PTI’s all provincial and national lawmakers submitted petitions to the top court.

The Vice chairman of the PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi submitted a plea to the Supreme Court’s (SC) Lahore Registry requesting the filing of a first information report (FIR) over the shooting of party leader Imran Khan in Wazirabad.

While talking to the media in Lahore, Qureshi stated that petitions had been submitted in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta.

He further added that the main purpose to probe Khan’s assassination attempt is to bring real facts to light.

Shah also demanded an investigation into the disrespect shown to Senator Azam Swati and his family, as well as the Kenyan murder of journalist Arshad Sharif.

The petition was submitted to the SC’s Deputy Registrar Aijaz Goraya.

Imran Khan survived an assassination attempt during his ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’ long march in Wazirabad when a man named Naveed opened fire on Khan Container.
