Access to technology and internet vital for women, Shiza Fatima

Islamabad: Minister of State for IT, Shiza Fatima has emphasized the crucial need for women to have access to technology and the internet.

A PTA delegation met with Minister of State for IT, Shiza Fatima where various matters regarding digital inclusion and digital transformation in the country were discussed.

During the meeting, Shiza Fatima stated that in the current era, it is imperative for women to have access to technology and the internet. The government is determined to empower women by eliminating digital class divisions and the preparation for digital inclusion is a welcome step.

She remarked that practical digital inclusion will prove instrumental in removing barriers to women’s mobile phone and ICT usage. The objective of women’s practical inclusion is to establish a digital ecosystem that is progressive and inclusive.

The Minister further elaborated that PTA is taking every possible step through digital inclusion to promote and advance the teleworking sector.

On this occasion, the PTA delegation also presented a presentation to Minister of State for IT, Shiza Fatima on digital inclusion. The Minister of State for IT appreciated the PTA team’s efforts regarding digital inclusion.
