Ahsan Iqbal advocates collaborative strategy for health sector enhancement amid economic hardships

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the importance of a collaborative approach to improving the health sector during an event in Islamabad on Thursday.

He highlighted the launch of the Zero Hepatitis Campaign during the 16-month rule and acknowledged the numerous challenges faced by the health sector. Iqbal stressed the necessity of establishing new institutions to enhance healthcare services, emphasizing the provision of quality healthcare to all citizens as a priority.

Iqbal emphasized the government’s commitment to providing the best healthcare facilities to every citizen, regardless of political differences.

In another statement on Wednesday, Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal expressed concerns about the severe economic hardships faced by the country.

He noted that the government’s operations heavily rely on loans, which he identified as a warning sign. Iqbal advocated for increasing production capacity, revenue, and exports to revive the country’s economy, asserting that achieving economic progress of up to nine percent is imperative for the nation’s well-being.
