Ahsan Iqbal labels voting for PTI as ‘Treason,’ stresses on army’s role

Ahsan Iqbal, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), asserted on Wednesday that voting for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the upcoming elections on February 8 would be considered equivalent to “treason.”

Speaking at a corner meeting in Zafarwal, the former planning minister expressed admiration for the Pakistani Army, highlighting their effective response to an attack on Pakistan by Iran, stating that no one could successfully attack the country.

Encouraging the public to choose the right representatives in the upcoming elections, Iqbal criticized the misuse of funds allocated for developing PP-54, emphasizing the poor state of the sewerage system in the city.

Promising swift action if his party came into power, Iqbal pledged to provide medical staff at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) within one month.

In a previous statement, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the importance of education in poverty alleviation. During a corner meeting in Narowal, he mentioned establishing a top-notch cancer center and three universities in Narowal, providing education to over 7,000 students.

Iqbal also claimed that the Narowal District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital holds the top ranking in Punjab.
