Nishtar Medical University in Multan has been rocked by allegations of thuggery by a lecture theater attendant, Wajid Qureshi, who reportedly assaulted a student, Anwar Baloch, within the premises.
Despite numerous complaints, the administration has not intervened, turning a blind eye to the continuous misconduct. The incident, captured on CCTV footage released by the Young Doctors Association (YDA), shows Qureshi entering the Ibn Sina Hall hostel and attacking Baloch.
The YDA spokesperson, Dr. Salman Lashari, stated that Qureshi has made threats of violence a routine affair, with no administrative action taken against him. The association demands the immediate dismissal of Qureshi and warns of further protests if their demands are not met. This has left students feeling insecure and fearful.
