Alleged suicide in Toba Tek Singh leads to murder case

An alleged suicide in Punjab’s Toba Tek Singh district has now led to the filing of a murder case against a woman named Rafat, her three daughters, and two unidentified individuals.

The incident revolves around the death of a young man named Hamza from the nearby village of 389 JB, whose demise was initially declared a suicide and subsequently laid to rest.

However, suspicions arose prompting authorities to take action, resulting in the registration of a murder case against the aforementioned individuals. According to the First Information Report (FIR), Hamza was purportedly killed due to issues related to marriage, including a dispute over a substantial sum of money.

Following this development, samples from Hamza’s grave were exhumed and sent for testing, marking a significant step in the ongoing investigation.
