Appeals against nullification of NAB amendments set for hearing

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has set a date for the hearing of government appeals challenging the annulment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) amendments. A five-member larger bench, presided over by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, including Justices Aminuddin, Jamal Mandukhel, Athar Minullah, and Hassan Azhar Rizvi, will convene on May 14. Notices have been issued to the concerned parties.

Additionally, a suo motu notice case regarding the appointment of vice-chancellors in government universities has been scheduled for hearing in the Supreme Court. A three-member bench, led by the Chief Justice, will convene on May 15.

In a previous hearing, the court requested a report from federal and provincial governments regarding the appointment of vice-chancellors. This issue arose in a case concerning the service structure of Malakand University staff.
