MNA Mohsin Dawar said on Wednesday that many areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were being handed over to the Taliban.
Speaking before the National Assembly, Dawar asserted that the Taliban will never be accepted by the people of KP. He said that when the Taliban took over Kabul, some people believed Afghans to be free.
He further added that there had been an attack in Swat and that many officials, including a deputy superintendent of police, had been kidnapped.
Dawar mentioned the fact that his NA mic would be turned off whenever he attempted to issue a warning about the approaching Taliban invasion.
NA Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, in response, said freedom of expression was important but Pakistani forces had been ridiculed. He said that mocking Pakistan’s military amounted to anti-state action.
He said that no patriotic Pakistani would permit speaking against Pakistan’s military and judiciary.
