Federal Interior Minister Initiates round-the-clock operations at police facility center

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced the decision to keep the Police Facility Center operational 24 hours a day, demonstrating the government’s commitment to enhancing security measures.

During his visit to the Tahafat Center and Gender Protection Center, Minister Naqvi received a briefing from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Ali Nasir Rizvi, regarding the functioning of police facility centers.

In response to growing concerns about illegal residents, Minister Naqvi has directed IG Islamabad to intensify operations against unauthorized individuals, emphasizing the need to take decisive action. Speaking informally with journalists in Islamabad, Minister Naqvi highlighted the government’s decision to grant a three-month extension to foreigners holding valid cards, after which they will be required to leave the country.

Additionally, he expressed the government’s dedication to enhancing security measures for Chinese nationals, underscoring ongoing collaborative efforts with Chinese authorities to develop robust security plans.

Moreover, Minister Naqvi informed about the Supreme Court’s directive to halt the issuance of arms licenses, stressing the government’s adherence to judicial orders. He also mentioned plans for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to overhaul immigration, passports, and police systems, indicating the need for additional time to address issues related to Twitter.
