Arijit Singh, wife Koel Roy cast their vote in hometown Jiaganj

Award-winning playback singer Arijit Singh exercised his voting right in Jiaganj, his hometown situated along the banks of the Bhagirathi river in the Murshidabad district.

Accompanied by his wife Koel Roy, Singh, known for hits like “Chahun Main Ya Naa,” arrived at the GSFP School polling booth riding his scooter, dressed casually in a t-shirt and pants, while his wife wore a plain salwar-kameez as they rode together.

The couple patiently waited their turn in line, followed closely by local fans who captured the moment.

After casting his vote, Singh proudly displayed his inked index finger, symbolizing his fulfillment of civic duty.

Raised in Jiaganj and educated at Sripat Singh College, Singh rose to fame after appearing on the reality show ‘Fame Gurukul’ in 2005, earning acclaim as one of the finest singers of his generation at the age of 37.
