Previously, Pakistani personalities such as Fakhr-e-Alam, Javed Sheikh, Wasim Akram, and others have also been awarded the golden visa.

Introduced in 2019, the golden visa permits foreigners to reside, work, and study in the UAE independently, without the need for a local sponsor.

The visa, valid for 5 or 10 years, is automatically renewed and is available to investors, entrepreneurs, talented individuals, researchers, and exceptional students.

Recently, the UAE eliminated the minimum down payment requirement of one million Dirhams for individuals seeking a golden visa through real estate investment.
