Netflix’s ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ faces viewer decline despite star-studded lineup

The Great Indian Kapil Show, a Netflix original series hosted by Kapil Sharma, has seen a decline in viewership after airing four episodes in a month, according to Netflix data.

The show, which generated high anticipation for reuniting Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, featured popular guests like Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Despite the star power, viewership has decreased steadily since its debut, with the show slipping in global rankings each week.

While the series remains popular in India, it has experienced a 50% decline in viewership over its first month.

Kapil Sharma’s previous Netflix projects, including his stand-up special “Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet,” did not achieve global top 10 rankings.

In contrast, the show “Maamla Legal Hai” debuted with higher viewership numbers.

Additionally, episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show on YouTube have garnered significant views, indicating continued interest in Kapil Sharma’s content.
