Shruti Sharma reveals how badly intimate scenes harmed her physically in Heeramandi

Shruti Sharma’s portrayal of ‘Saima’ in the popular series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ has captured the hearts of millions due to her simplicity, elegance, and exceptional singing abilities, earning her a special place in viewers’ hearts.

However, amidst the success, Sharma shared the challenges she faced during filming, notably experiencing severe rashes after intimate scenes.

In an interview with Entertainment Live, Sharma discussed her collaboration with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and her role as ‘Saima,’ a trusted maid in Mallikajaan’s household.

Despite playing a supporting character, Saima received ample screen time, captivating audiences with her singing and showcasing her romantic side, alongside acts of sacrifice for her master.

Sharma also addressed the romantic scenes involving her character and Rajat Kaul’s ‘Iqbal,’ Mallikajaan’s cart driver.

These scenes were filmed in a horse stable, requiring the actors to interact intimately while navigating a cart filled with dried hay grass.
