Babar Azam opts for bowling first in second T20I against New Zealand

In the highly anticipated second T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, chose to bowl first after winning the toss.

The toss happened at 7:00 PM (PST) in Rawalpindi, with Babar Azam and Michael Bracewell present. Both teams stuck with the same playing XI from the first T20I.

Despite rain causing the first T20I to be shortened to just two balls, both teams haven’t made any changes to their lineup.

Pakistan’s playing XI includes: Babar Azam (c), Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Amir, and Abrar Ahmed.

New Zealand’s playing XI includes: Michael Bracewell (c), Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Jacob Duffy, Dean Foxcroft, Ben Lister, James Neesham, Tim Robinson, Ben Sears, Tim Seifert (wk), and Ish Sodhi.

Despite the bad weather, the pitch at Pindi Cricket Stadium is in great condition, thanks to the efforts of the ground staff, led by head groundsman Sarfraz Ahmed. They are committed to keeping the grounds ready for play, despite the rain.

The series will move to Lahore after the first three matches at Pindi Cricket Stadium. The remaining two T20Is will be held at Gaddafi Stadium on April 25 and 27, adding to the excitement of the series.

Cricket fans can watch all the action live on Pakistan’s premier sports channel, Geo Super, as the competition between Pakistan and New Zealand heats up.
