Balochistan CM discusses formation of new district

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddos Bizenjo on Wednesday met with the standing governor and speaker of the Balochistan Assembly as well as the officials of the planning and development department in two separate meetings to discuss the development of the province.

In his meeting with standing Governor and Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Jan Mohammad Jamali, he discussed the formation of a new district, saying the provincial government intended to give ease to the people of the province by facilitating them. “In tough circumstances, [we] ought to take hard decisions,” he said, adding that the government would render better infrastructural development to the newly formed district making sure the locals won’t need to travel to other districts for trivial affairs.

In a separate meeting with Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development Suleman Mufti and Secretary for Finance Hafiz Abdul Basit, Bizenjo vowed that the upcoming budget would be formed after considering the interests of the masses.

“The people of Balochistan will laud the changes which would be seen in the development projects for the youth and women,” the CM added. He stressed the need to include jail reforms and asked the concerned departments to prioritise the ongoing development schemes.
