BCCI’s response to India playing in Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025

India’s participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan depends on approval from the Indian government. Rajiv Shukla, the Vice President of the Indian Cricket Board (ICB), stated that there is still ample time to decide on the matter.

“We will follow whatever the Indian government advises,” Shukla explained.

Shukla mentioned that the Indian cricket team would only be allowed to compete in the Champions Trophy 2025 if the government approves it.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is set to be the ninth edition of this cricket tournament, featuring the top eight men’s One Day International (ODI) teams as organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Pakistan will host the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in February and March 2025.

Pakistan is the defending champion, having won the last edition held in 2017.
