Bilawal makes call for resistance against govt

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday urged the masses to get ready to put up resistance against the government responsible for inflation and unemployment.

He made the call during a meeting of the party’s Gilgit-Baltistan executives at Zardari House Islamabad, during which he was briefed on the political situation in the region. The PPP office-bearer also briefed the meeting on their preparations for the long march.

Later Ahad Khattak, who is contesting Tehsil Nazim elections from Nowshera, held a meeting with Bilawal. On this occasion, the PPP chief said that the party’s long march was the voice of the common man. He hoped that people from across the country would come out on February 27 and announce their decision against Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government. The people are coming to take back their rights on February 27, he said. He went on to say that securing significant votes from every region of KP was a testament to the fact that the PPP had deep roots in the province.
