‘Buddhi, moti’ Lara Dutta hits back at trolls

Former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta recently shared her experience of dealing with age-shaming and fat-shaming comments from social media trolls during a promotional event for her web series ‘Ranneeti’.

Dutta admitted that while she isn’t immune to social media hate and trolling, she has learned how to cope with it.

She emphasized that she maintains a limited social media presence, choosing to share only what she finds genuinely special with her followers.

Acknowledging that everyone has the right to their opinion, Dutta explained that she focuses on authentic interactions with her followers, rather than seeking a large following.

She expressed gratitude for the genuine support she receives and noted that she doesn’t let negative comments affect her.

Regarding trolls and nasty comments, Dutta remained unfazed, stating that she understands the anonymity behind online handles and doesn’t let such remarks impact her life.

She concluded by emphasizing empathy towards others and maintaining a positive outlook.

On the professional front, Lara Dutta is eagerly anticipating the release of her web series ‘Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond’, where she stars alongside Jimmy Sheirgill, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Ashutosh Rana.
