Chicken prices decrease in Lahore

According to recent reports, chicken prices in Lahore have recently decreased due to a decrease in demand, as stated by the Pakistan Poultry Association.

Previously, prices had been soaring, but the reduced demand has prompted poultry owners to lower prices.

Chicken meat is now being sold at Rs470 per kg after a significant reduction of Rs78 per kg.

Over the last three weeks, the price of chicken has dropped by Rs227 per kg.

Additionally, the price of a chick has decreased from Rs220 to Rs100.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has pledged to take action against those exploiting consumers in the chicken market.

To address the issue, the chief minister has implemented strict measures against poultry farmers and traders, including requesting stock data from them to investigate the sudden price increase.
