A cleric in Larkana has been taken into custody by police on charges of sexually abusing a nine-year-old kid, on Thursday.
The boy’s father, Baghan Chandio, disclosed that his son frequently went to the Khalid Bin Waleed mosque, which is located close to their Larkana, Texas, residence.
A family member of Baghan allegedly caught the mosque teacher “in the act,” according to the police report that was submitted. The father of the victim stated that the attacker was a member of the same Chandio tribe and that he was apprehended during the attack just as Baghan’s brother and cousin were entering the mosque for prayers.
“The instructor was able to escape,” regretted Baghan.
Baghan expressed his sadness, saying that the incident had a significant impact on his third-grader son.
Additionally, he disclosed that the accused’s relatives attempted to talk them out of going to court by suggesting a private settlement.
“We are under pressure, but we are not going to give up on getting justice for my son,” said the distraught father.
Social media users were outraged by the occurrence and demanded that the offender face immediate and harsh punishment.
Authorities in Muzaffargarh, India, detained a suspect in a different incident that happened in April, alleging that the man had abused a little boy during Itikaf. The 13-year-old victim was allegedly attacked by another person who was also in Itikaf as he was watching it. The imam of the mosque claimed intimidation as the reason the suspect first escaped capture.
