CM Mahmood Khan congratulates winners of LG elections for ‘glorious return of PTI’

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has congratulated the successful candidates of PTI in the local government elections and said that in re-polling, PTI had achieved great success in districts including Dera Ismail Khan, Karak, and Bannu.

In a statement issued on Monday in this regard, the chief minister congratulated the workers on ‘the glorious return of PTI’ in the re-polling and paid tribute to the concerned administration and law enforcement agencies for peacefully conducting the re-polling.

He stated that the results of the elections were because of the fruit of hard work and mutual unity.

Mahmood Khan expressed hope that PTI would also win the second round of the local body elections. He urged the workers to continue preparations for the second phase of elections and maintain unity in their ranks.

Mahmood Khan said that those who could not win the local body elections at home were talking about overthrowing the government.

The chief minister further said that the country was moving in the right direction under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the opposition was afraid of the growing popularity of the premier.

The people had rejected the devolved interests and now the PTI was the only centre of hope for the people, he said.
