CM Sindh takes notice of blind girl’s plight

In the wake of notice taken by Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, District Commissioner Sujawal Shehryar Gul Memon and a medical team including Dr. Ahmed Ali Palijo and other concerned officials visited the thatched hut of Nawaz Raho an artisan to evaluate the visual-impairment of her nine-year-old daughter Malala Raho.

The issue of Malala was initially brought to light by Daily Minute Mirror. After which it drew the attention of CM Sindh who directed district commissioner Sujawal to submit in this regard.

Nawaz Wado father of ill-fated girl was caught by surprise when he saw all government high-ups under his roof saying that he was not expecting a swift response on the part of the government.

“I had approached all stakeholders of the district for the immediate treatment of my daughter Malala but all my efforts proved futile,” said Nawaz Wado, while talking to Minute Mirror.

In this regard, the district health officer Ahmed Ali Palijo said that they had prepared a complete file pertaining to the blindness of the girl that would be submitted to the CM. He further said that her checkup was held under the banner of the Health Department of the Sindh government by noted Ophthalmologists Dr. Muneer Memon and his fellow Dr. Rashid Khoso.

The team will submit their findings to the concerned authorities within a couple of days. District Commissioner Sujawal said that Sindh Government was optimistic to assist the needy girl and it would provide all sorts of facilities.
