Court confirms bail of Azam Swati on violating section-144 case

The district and sessions court in Islamabad has granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati in a case involving the violation of section 144.

Azam Swati’s bail was approved upon furnishing a transit guarantee of Rs5,000.

According to lawyer Ali Bokhari, Azam Swati was detained in connection with this case, and bail was granted by the court the very next day. Initially, he was declared a proclaimed offender, and his bail was rejected due to his absence from court, which was argued to be illegal since the police officer involved was an ally.

After hearing all arguments presented by lawyer Ali Bokhari, the court decided to grant bail to Azam Swati.

It’s worth noting that a case was filed against Azam Swati in 2014 for violating section 144.
