Dense fog disrupt traffic on motorways and national highway across Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts predominantly cold and dry weather for Lahore and various parts of the country in the next two days.

The synoptic situation indicates the prevalence of continental air over most areas of Pakistan.

Consequently, Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday are expected to bring mainly cold and dry weather to Lahore and other regions.

Northern areas and north Balochistan may experience extremely cold conditions, with the likelihood of frost in the Potohar region and Kashmir during morning hours.

The PMD also anticipates persistent dense fog/smog in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh, including areas like Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, and others.

This dense fog/smog could potentially lead to Motorway closures and traffic disruptions on the National Highway.

Lahore is expected to have a minimum temperature ranging between 04-06 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.

Cold wave conditions persisted in Lahore and various parts of Pakistan over the last 24 hours.
