Detailed decision to remove Farhat’s kids’ names from PCL

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued a detailed ruling to eliminate Farhat Shahzadi’s children from the Passport Control List (PCL).

Iman Jameel and Faraz Iqbal appealed against the initial decision of a single bench. A two-member bench, led by Justice Anwaar-ul-Haq Pannu, made the decision.

The court noted in its detailed ruling that the government’s legal representative failed to provide sufficient justification for retaining the children’s names in the PCL.

The judgment highlighted that Farhat Shahzadi had not participated in the investigation, and both children were under 16 years old during the trial.

Citing the recent decision to remove Shehbaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL), the court upheld the appeal and overturned the single bench ruling.
