ECP to frame charge sheet against Imran Khan and other PTI leaders after November 10

The Election Commission of Pakistan said that they will be left with no option after November 10 other than framing the charge sheet in the Election Commission contempt case against Imran Khan, Asad Umar, and Fawad Chaudhry.

A four-member bench headed by member Nisar Durrani heard the Election Commission contempt case against Imran Khan, Asad Umar, and Fawad Chaudhry.

Senior lawyer Anwar Mansoor appeared in the court on behalf of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Anwar Mansoor said that the notices have been issued by the Secretary Election Commission and not by the Election Commission. Until this issue is resolved, this show-cause notice is illegal.

He also stated that the show-cause notice issued is also signed by DG Law.

The PTI lawyer further said that a date should be scheduled following the hearing in the High Court on October 31, where the ECP member said that notices had been sent by the Election Commission but that the secretary had not yet done so.

Anwar Mansoor said that Asad Umar received threats last night, he does not have security, on which the member Election Commission said that we will have no option after November 10 but to frame the charge sheet.
