Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has said that the government envisions vaccinating 80 percent of the province’s population under the second phase of the Reach Every Door (RED) Coronavirus vaccination campaign.

While speaking at a play organized at Alhamra Hall by the Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SHD) Department, the provincial health minister appreciated P&SHD Secretary Imran Sikander Baloch and his team for creating awareness among the public.

The play, ‘Ainak Wala Jin’, was organized as part of the second phase of RED campaign.

In the play were present children from special education institutions, who presented a special performance called ‘Ainak Wala Corona Jin’. The aim of the play was to highlight the importance of vaccination.

The provincial health minister appreciated the ‘wonderful performances’ to generate awareness about vaccination.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid said, “We have administered the first or second dose to the 53 million population of Punjab. Inshallah, we will achieve the target of vaccination of 81 million people. We have completely vaccinated 46 percent of the population of the province and the positivity ratio has dropped to 0.3 percent in the province. We envision vaccinating 80 percent of Punjab’s population in the second phase of the RED campaign.”

While answering questions of the media, the provincial health minister said that eight state of the art mother and child hospitals were under development in the province.
