Elon Musk, owner of Neuralink, made headlines for successfully implanting a brain chip into a human brain. Now, he’s launching an upgraded chatbot through his startup Artificial Intelligence company xAI, as reported by Reuters.
xAI announced on Thursday that the new version, Grok-1.5, will undergo early testing by existing Grok users and users of Musk’s social media platform X.
The startup highlighted improvements in Grok-1.5’s performance in coding and math-related tasks.
Musk launched xAI last year in March with the goal of creating a highly accurate AI.
In December, Grok was introduced to premium X users.
Grok set a benchmark of 62.9% on the GSM8K, but Grok 1.5 showed significant progress, scoring 90% on the GSM8K benchmark and 74.1% on the HumanEval benchmark, demonstrating improved code generation and problem-solving abilities.
Compared to the earlier version, Grok 1.5 can process longer pieces of text.
Recently, Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI CEO Sam Altman for breach of contract, alleging that Altman deviated from the company’s original mission to develop AI for the benefit of humanity.
