A special meeting of Executive Council of Engineers Study Forum (a registered think tank of Engineers) held on October 10 and presided over by Mian Fazal Ahmad unanimously resolved to eulogise the historic services rendered by Mohsin-e-Pakistan Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan in successfully completing the nuclear program at Kahuta, resulting in Pakistan becoming a safe country and the only Muslim nuclear power. The condolence meeting was participated via telephone lines by Dr Nazeer Ahmad, former Head of Kahuta Nuclear Power set up as Head of Metallurgy Division. Dr. Nazeer Ahmad was awarded “Sitara-e-Imtiaz” and a “Civil Award” awarded by President of Pakistan. He was special Deputy of Late Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan. The nuclear enrichment program is a historical landmark to be remembered in annals of history of the Nation. The nuclear Technology developed by Late Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan is with very few nuclear nations of the World. No hostile country can dare attack Pakistan now in view of the nuclear capabilities of the country. The nuclear explosion were carried out by the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif despite strong global resistance by some international hostile Powers. This was an extraordinary historic achievement made by the then Prime Minister.
