An important consultative meeting was held at the Commissioner’s Office with all the traders across the district regarding possible closure of markets at 9:00pm for energy saving.
Divisional Commissioner Zahid Hussain chaired the meeting. Welcoming the remarkable cooperation of traders regarding price control, divisional commissioner said that their cooperation is also essential for energy saving, and in this regard consultations are being held for possible government decision to close the markets at 9:00pm.
He said that the government has also been suggested to relieve the markets of load shedding in the evening hours. The commissioner also assured the traders of early resolution of some issues and said that he would stand with them to solve their problems. The President Chamber of Commerce Atif Munir Sheikh said that the business community of Faisalabad is patriotic and stands by the side of the government in all kinds of crises. He said that the power crisis is a serious problem which will be addressed with cooperation. Khawaja Shahid Razzaq Sika, Aslam Bhalli, Mian Asif Aslam and other traders also assured their cooperation in the decision of govt regarding closure of markets at 9:00pm.
