Faizabad sit-in inquiry report submitted to Supreme Court

The Attorney General’s Office submitted the Faizabad sit-in inquiry commission report to the Supreme Court on Sunday.

This 150-page report is based on the statements of 33 witnesses and explores the various issues related to the Faizabad sit-in.

A three-judge panel, led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, will meet tomorrow to review the report’s detailed findings.

The commission, after thorough analysis, did not assign blame to any specific person or group.

However, it pointed out some operational issues, especially the Punjab government’s inability to prevent protesters from reaching Islamabad during the sit-in.
