Faryal urges PPP leaders to shun differences

Member of Provincial Assembly Faryal Talpur, the central leader of Pakistan People’s Party, has directed the lawmakers and leaders of Tharparkar district to forge unity to foil the attempts of the political rivals in the desert district.

A meeting was held in Bilawal House and was attended by PPP lawmakers including Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani, Pir Ameer Shah Jilani, MPAs including Qasim Siraj Soomro, Faqir Sher Mohammad Bilalani, Arbab Lutufallah, Surendar Valasai; PPP Senator from Thar Krishna Kumari Kolhi, Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan, former senator and PPP president of Tharparkar chapter Engineer Gianchand Tharani, Dr. Ghulam Haider Samejo, Dost Mohammad Rahimoon, Kanwar Karni Singh and other PPP leaders.

According to the official press release of the meeting, Talpur directed the lawmakers and party leaders to work more effectively for the people of the district so that the party could be strengthened ahead of the next general elections. Credible sources revealed that she summoned the entire top brass of the party to discuss with them serious differences among them, which have hit the headlines in the media.

She reportedly directed Engineer Tharani, Member National Assembly Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani, Arbab Lutuf and some other key leaders to sort out their differences in the party meetings and not allow rivals to take advantage of the situation. Talpur also expressed her anger and indignation over some decisions made by the leaders in the selection of the candidates in some areas for the elections of the local bodies, added the sources.

Here it may be noted that serious differences surfaced among the PPP leaders on a number of issues. Some senior leaders had blamed Tharani for his weak decisions over the party issues in the district.
