Fawad Chaudhry granted bail in May 9 cases

In a recent development, former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry was granted bail in 14 cases related to events that occurred on May 9. The decision was made during a hearing at a special anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi.

During the hearing, Judge Malik Ijaz Asif presided over the proceedings as Fawad Chaudhry, accompanied by his lawyer Faisal Chaudhary, appeared before the court to present his interim bail plea in the 14 cases.

After careful consideration, the court approved the interim bail with a personal guarantee in all 14 cases, thereby preventing the police from arresting Fawad Chaudhry in connection with these cases.

Subsequently, the court issued notices to all relevant police stations and requested the submission of case records by April 30. This legal development marks a significant chapter in the ongoing legal proceedings involving Fawad Chaudhry, providing him with temporary relief as the case progresses through the judicial system. As he continues to navigate these legal challenges, the former federal minister and his legal team will cooperate with the court and abide by its directives.
