FBR assigns intelligence agency task to scrutinize employees

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has assigned the task to a reputable intelligence agency to gather details regarding its employees while initiating the process of collecting information from their offices and relatives.

According to sources, prior to crucial appointments in key positions, the Federal Board of Revenue has tasked the intelligence agency to gather relevant details from employees. The agency has commenced collecting information from employees offices and relatives.

The intelligence agency is gathering information about employees in grades 19, 20 and 21 focusing on their financial integrity and professional performance.

After the information is collected employees will be categorized into A, B and C categories. Officers in categories A and B will be assigned postings according to the report’s suitability while those in category C may not be given significant responsibilities. Officers in category C may also face termination from employment.

It should be noted that in the future, the advancement of FBR employees will also be guided by these reports.
