Fire incidents destroy eight houses in Tharparkar

As many as eight houses and other structures were destroyed by two fire incidents in Tharparkar on Sunday.

Three houses and some other structures with all valuables were destroyed when fire broke out in village Jam Khan Jo Wandhio near Nagarparkar town.

Dodo Khaskheli, a victim, said that all his valuables were reduced to ashes by the blaze. In the other fire related incident, five houses and structures, with all the villagers’ belongings, were destroyed by the inferno in village Malanhor Veera near Mithi town.

It is pertinent to mention that over 300 houses and other structures were destroyed in different fire incidents in the recent weeks in the desert district. And despite a terrible rise in fire incidents, almost the entire district lacks the fire tenders to be used in time of emergency.
