FO warns of possible Indian false flag operation

Foreign Office says Pakistan alerting international community of India’s attempts to disturb regional peace

The Foreign Office on Thursday has cautioned of another false flag operation conducted by the country’s neighbor and rival, India.

In a weekly press briefing, FO spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad spoke about the human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and warned that India might conduct a false flag operation.

The FO spokesperson noted the messages by President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Kashmir’s Right to Self-Determination Day. He said the messages pointed out the grave human rights violations in the occupied territory.

He added that the messages were to urge the international community for India’s accountability for crimes against humanity.

The FO spokesperson said that Pakistan reaffirmed its support for Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination. He added that at least 15 Kashmiris had lost their lives to fake encounters, adding that at least 210 Kashmiris were martyred last year alone.

During the briefing the FO spokesperson cautioned that Pakistan was concerned about India’s past record. He warned of a possibility of a false flag conducted by India and said that Pakistan was endeavoring to alert the international community in this regard.

The FO spokesperson said that Pakistan remains dedicated to pursuing peaceful relations with India. But it remains on India to meet the country halfway, he added.
