Foreign exchange reserves increase by $62.8 million

Karachi: There has been an increase of $62.8 million in the overall foreign exchange reserves bringing the total reserves to $13.44 billion.

The State Bank released weekly statistics regarding foreign exchange reserves, according to which, during the week ending on April 5th official reserves decreased by $100,000 maintaining the official reserves at the level of $8.403 billion.

Over the course of one week, there has been an increase of $62.8 million in the overall foreign exchange reserves reaching a total of $13.44 billion.

According to the central bank, commercial banks reserves have increased by $62.9 million bringing the total to $5.401 billion.

The increase in foreign exchange reserves reflects positively on the country’s economic stability and indicates a healthy balance in the foreign exchange market.
