Former PML-N minister Sikandar Hayat Bosan throws weight behind PTI candidate

Former federal minister of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, dealt a significant blow to the Geelani family by announcing his support for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate, Taimur Mahe, in the NA-148 by-election.

Bosan, along with his entire group, expressed discontent with the PML-N leadership’s handling of the by-election and opted to back PTI’s local candidate, citing reasons rooted in local politics.

Addressing the media at his residence in Multan, Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan lamented the lack of communication from the PML-N leadership regarding the by-election. He emphasized their longstanding rivalry with the Geelani family in electoral contests and underscored their unwavering support for the PTI candidate, Taimur Mahe, in light of local political dynamics.

When asked about his decision, Bosan reiterated his allegiance to the Pakistan forces and emphasized the importance of supporting the local candidate from PTI given the prevailing circumstances. He asserted that the decision was made after thorough consultation with his associates, reflecting a strategic shift in their political allegiance.

Bosan further elaborated on his history of opposition to Yusuf Raza Gilani, highlighting his repeated tenure as a federal minister despite attempts by successive governments to tarnish his reputation.
