Paris: France’s bakery “Nan Bayon” has set a new record for the world’s longest baguette named “Baguette.”

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest baguette ever made in France measures 461 feet.

According to reports from international news agencies, this length is more than double the usual size of baguettes making it 235 times longer. Converting its length from feet to meters, it measures approximately 140.53 meters.

Nan Bayon bakery in France had already begun work to achieve this record starting with the construction of a large-sized oven and the preparation of the dough. Successful experimentation was crucial to this endeavour.

In France, this elongated form of baguette is called “Baguette” made by adding flour, water and yeast and baking it in a special oven.

Last night, the happiness of these French bakers knew no bounds as their masterpiece was ready bringing them worldwide respect and fame.

It’s worth noting that in June 2019, Italy set the previous world record by making a baguette measuring 132.62 meters in length.
